DESCRIPTION:Richard Just will be speaking about “How the Washington Post Magazine Comes Together Each Week” \nRichard Just is the editor of The Washington Post Magazine. He is the former editor of National Journal magazine and The New Republic\, both of which he led to National Magazine Award nominations. He is also founder and executive director of the Princeton University Summer Journalism Program\, which annually brings 35-40 high school seniors from low-income backgrounds to Princeton’s campus for an all-expenses-paid crash course on journalism and college admissions. In 2014\, he was a Ferris Professor of Journalism at Princeton. He was a Japanese government official who served as vice consul for the Japanese Empire in Lithuania. During the Second World War\, Sugihara helped some 6\,000 Jews flee Europe by issuing transit visas to them so that they could travel through Japanese territory\, risking his job and his family’s lives. \nSuggested donation is $10 per person.
