SUMMARY:Dementia caregiver group
DESCRIPTION:Jewish Family & Children’s Service of Greater Mercer County (JFCS) will launch a new Dementia Caregiver Connection Group that will include a support group for the caregiver\, a separate activity for the family member with dementia\, and a lunch for all participants. \nThe program will be held over four Thursdays beginning Sept. 6\, 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Artis Senior Living\, Princeton. Cost is $50. \n“This program will provide caregivers\, also known as ‘invisible second patients\,’ with the support they so desperately need\,” said JFCS executive director Michelle Napell. “Caregivers of those with dementia are especially lacking in social contact and support.
