DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, October 28\, 2018 at 7:00 pm\, Beth El Synagogue of East Windsor Israeli Affairs Committee and Greater Princeton Area Hadassah present a program titled ‘Why do Evangelical Christians Support the Jewish State?’ \nEvangelical Christians provide the most significant source of support for the Jewish State within the Christian world. She monitors Christian organizations and media activity related to the Arab-Israeli conflict. \nThis event is free will be held at Beth El Synagogue. SUMMARY:Beth El Synagogue Presents Exploring Jewish Views of the Afterlife
DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, January 27\, 2019 at 7:00 PM\, the Beth El Synagogue of East Windsor Women’s League presents ‘Exploring Jewish Views of the Afterlife’.  Does Judaism believe in the afterlife? Unequivocally\, the answer is yes! In our contemporary society it seems we have lost touch with traditional Jewish wisdom on the afterlife journey of the soul. During this presentation\, Simcha Raphael\, Ph.D.\, will explore Judaism’s little-known teachings on life after death\, particularly in Jewish mysticism. Through discussion\, storytelling and study\, we shall explore the relevance of these teachings in dealing with the reality of death and loss today. \nSIMCHA RAPHAEL\, Ph.D. is Founding Director of the DA’AT Institute for Death Awareness\, Advocacy and Training.  He is Adjunct Faculty in the Religion Department at LaSalle University\, and works as a psychotherapist and spiritual director in Philadelphia. \nLight refreshments will be served. RSVP by 1/22/2019. \nBeth El Synagogue is located at 50 Maple Stream Road\, East Windsor\, NJ\, 08520; 609-443-4454; www.bethel.net.
