Tefillah Lab will be an experiential Jewish worship group at Monmouth Reform Temple. The group will focus on experimenting with Jewish meditation and have the goals of increasing mindfulness, promoting a sense of peace, and facilitating an experience of the divine for its participants. Jeffrey Gurock, professor of Jewish History at Yeshiva University, will serve as scholar in residence at Monmouth Reform Temple, Tinton Falls. He will present “From the Journals of Rabbi Mordechai Kaplan,” 10:30 a.m.-noon, a study session with documents from the Kaplan diaries.
