Alexander Gordon
Alexander Gordon, 89, of West Orange died May 30, 2011. Born in Bergedof, Germany, he was one of 10,000 children to escape on the Kindertransport and one of 2,036 men sent away from England on the Dunera.
Mr. Gordon was the proprietor of Richfield Liquors until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Esther (Manella); his son, Ronald of Pennington; his daughter, Ora of Los Angeles; and three grandsons.
Services were held June 1 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to the U.S. Holocaust Museum, Washington, DC; Kindertransport Association; Red Cross; or Doctors Without Borders.
