Alfred Schwartz

Alfred Leon Schwartz, 87, of Highland Park died May 6, 2016. He was born in Trenton and raised in New Jersey and New York. 

Mr. Schwartz had a long career as a chemical engineer before his retirement. 

He was a graduate of City College and Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute. 

He served in the Army as a First Lieutenant in Korea. 

He was a member of Highland Park Conservative Temple-Congregation Anshe Emeth and a Hadassah Associate. 

He is survived by his wife, Lila; three daughters, Judy (Morris) Rodenstein, Debbie (Robert) Smith, and Sue (Steve) Parris; a sister, Lola Kroul; and five grandchildren. 

Services were held May 8 with arrangements by Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, New Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to Raritan Valley chapter of Hadassah.
