Don’t put up with anti-Zionism

George Orwell famously said, “Some ideas are so stupid that only intellectuals believe them.” Surely this applies to Michael Koplow’s op-ed, “Why Zionists should stand with Black Lives Matter” (June 18).

I find it unbelievable that Koplow, who works for the Israel Policy Forum, is advocating that we put up with a little anti-Zionism in order to support a blatantly anti-Semitic, Marxist organization. It’s akin to saying that German Jews should have supported Hitler’s Jew-hatred because, after all, the German people were suffering from historic oppression.

Ben Franklin said, “Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.” Learn some American history, Koplow.
