Eleanor Pokross

Eleanor Pokross (Hinkes), 86, of Delray Beach, Fla., died May 11, 2016. Born in Newark, she resided in Union and West Orange before moving to Delray Beach a short time ago. 

Mrs. Pokross was a longtime member of Cedar Hill Country Club in Livingston, where she was an avid golf and tennis player.

She is survived by her husband, Myron “Mickey”; three daughters, Pamela (Steven) Kirschner of Springfield, Debbie (Michael) Rose of Livingston, and Joan (Roy) Behren of Millwood, NY; a brother, Norman Hinkes of New Jersey; five grandchildren; and three great-grandsons. 

Services were held May 15 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
