Eric Goldman, Jewish Film Educator, Historian, and Critic
Eric Goldman is a noted film historian and educator who lectures on Jewish, Yiddish, and Israeli cinema. An adjunct professor of cinema at Yeshiva University, he also teaches at Fairleigh Dickinson University and the Streicker Center/Skirball Academy for Adult Jewish Learning in New York. Dr. Goldman is founder of Ergo Media Inc., a New Jerseybased film distributor specializing in Jewish-oriented film. Ergo Media is the pioneer in introducing Jewish and Israeli cinema on video in North America.
Emily Mann, Playwright, Artistic Director/Resident Playwright
Emily Mann is in her 30th and final season as Artistic Director and Resident Playwright at McCarter Theatre Centre. Recipient of a Tony Award for outstanding regional theatre, she was twice nominated for Tony Awards as a playwright and director. She has received the Peabody Award, the Hull-Warriner Award from the Dramatists Guild, and the Helen Merrill Award. She has won awards from the NAACP, eight Obie awards, and a Guggenheim Fellowship; and the 2011 Person of the Year Award from the National Theater Conference. She also received the Margo Jones Award, given to a “citizen-of-the-theater who has demonstrated a lifetime commitment to the encouragement of the living theater everywhere.”
