HIAS program at Torat El

Congregation Torat El in Oakhurst will host “Learning from the Past, Rising to the Moment,” featuring Mark Hetfield, president and CEO of HIAS, on Sunday morning, March 8, at 10 a.m.
HIAS, founded in 1881 as the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, is dedicated to the resettlement of refugees of all faiths and ethnicities. Hetfield will discuss Jewish displacement in history and the current global refugee crisis and how Jewish values compel a response.
