“Letters to Erich: A Musical Performance and Talk” features jazz pianist Ted Rosenthal, March 3, Nicholas Music Center

Ted Rosenthal draws on more than 200 letters found in the family’s attic to tell the story of his father Erich in Chicago, and his grandmother, Herta, who was trapped in Nazi Germany. Rosenthal, acclaimed American jazz pianist, drew from the letters to compose the jazz opera Dear Erich.
He will be joined by mezzo-soprano Sishel Claverie and baritone Peter Kendall Clark in a talk and performance from his powerful new work.
The event will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 7:30 p.m., at Nicholas Music Center, 85 George Street, New Brunswick.
