Temple Har Zion to host Lunch ‘n’ Learn on Civil Rights in Israel

Rabbi Dr. Sharon Shalom, the first Ethiopian rabbi in Israel, will be the guest speaker March 29 at a Lunch ‘n’ Learn event hosted by Temple Har Zion. Rabbi Shalom will speak about his personal journey to Israel and his experiences living there.

South Jersey, along with New Orleans and Charleston, is part of a pilot program with the Ministry of Diaspora and Ohr Torah Stone in Israel, bringing speakers from Israel to the US, to share the Israel experience with American Jews. This event, cosponsored by the Jewish Community Relations Council of the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey, is apolitical and non-religious. This event will run from noon to 1 p.m. Lunch and beverages will be provided free of charge.
