In a move to attract new audiences to live orchestral music, the Princeton Symphony Orchestra has expanded its concert offerings to include Saturday night (8 p.m.) performances at Richardson Auditorium. The Orchestra offers a new Pick 3+ promotion, in which anyone ordering tickets for three or more concerts receives savings off full-price single tickets. All concerts except the January 26 POPS! concert feature a pre-concert talk, free to ticket holders.
- The series continues on Jan. 26, with Saturday Evening POPS!, where Ryan Silverman explores favorite music of the stage and screen as the Broadway star inhabits the vocal roles of iconic personas and personal heroes.
- On Feb. 2 at 8 p.m. and Feb. 3 at 4 p.m., Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony is paired with Brahms’ dramatic First Piano Concerto at the Edward T. Cone Concert.
- On Saturday, March 23, Dvořák/Liebermann/Mazzolli features former PSO principal flutist Chelsea Knox as a soloist performing Lowell Liebermann’s Concerto for Flute and Orchestra. Dvořák’s Symphony No. 8 in G Major, Op. 88 completes the program.
Single tickets range from $35 to $96 each. Pick 3+ packages range from $93 (three concerts, Section D) to $411 (five concerts, Section A). To purchase, call 609-497-0020 or visit princetonsymphony.org.
