Shabbat Speaker Series: A Jewish Look at the Civil War

Rabbi Eric B. Wisnia will be the featured speaker on Friday, February 28th as part of Temple Shalom’s Shabbat Speaker Series. This service is open to the entire community and starts at 7:45 pm. Temple Shalom is located at 5 Ayrmont Lane in Aberdeen.
Rabbi Wisnia will be speaking about his upcoming book, “Off the Pedestal”. It is a fresh Jewish look at the Civil War, Slavery and Racism in the Civil War. He has been interested in the Civil War from an early age when Civil War Centennial took place.
In February 2019 Rabbi Wisnia became Rabbi Emeritus of Congregation Beth Chaim in Princeton Junction. He retired as Senior Rabbi after serving 42 years in that position.
