‘Shrek’ musical comes to Axelrod PAC

$23 – $27THE LOVABLE OGRE of a beloved upside-down fairytale will arrive in Deal Park when “Shrek the Musical” comes to the Axelrod Performing Arts Center. The center’s Rising Stars Youth Performing Arts program will present the Tony Award-winning stage adaptation of the Oscar-winning animated film from Nov. 30 to Dec. 8.
With songs by Jeanine Tesori and a script by David Lindsay-Abaire, “Shrek the Musical” has a cast of 40, featuring professional actor Mark Regan of Eatontown as Shrek; Rising Stars performers Logan Caplan of Ocean Township and Zoe Seitz of Manalapan; Chris Abt of Howell as Donkey; Aman Tolia of Holmdel as Lord Farquaade; and Maralease Vasquez of Long Branch as Dragon.
The show will play six performances between Nov. 30 and Dec. 8. Tickets cost $27, $23 for students; group rates are available for parties of 10 or more.
