Talmud’s impact

Brandeis University’s Middlesex Chapter will present “Agreeing to Disagree: The Talmud and Civil Discourse” at 1 p.m. at East Brunswick Public Library.

Anne Berman-Waldorf, director of lifelong education at Congregation Beth Chaim, Princeton Junction, will present examples from civil and ceremonial law, such as menorah lighting, to examine how the sometimes-divisive development of the Talmud shaped Jewish life.
