Joan Kalkin

Joan Lazarus Kalkin of Bernardsville died May 16, 2020. She grew up in Newark and Maplewood and lived in Bernardsville for the last 40 years.

In her public life, Mrs. Kalkin sat on the boards of the Newark Museum, Shelburne Museum, and the Fleming Museum and the board of trustees of the University of Vermont, where she was awarded an honorary doctor of laws.

She is survived by her husband, Eugene; her daughter, Nancy (Lincoln); her son, Adam (Jocelyne); and seven grandchildren.
