Learning about Deuteronomy
“Deuteronomy in Detail,” a new 10-week course on the biblical Book of Deuteronomy, taught by Rabbi Asher Herson, will begin on July 28, at 7 p.m., at the Chabad Educational Center in Rockaway Township. Classes will delve into the book while providing meaningful insights into contemporary life circumstances and challenges. Each session is self-contained, students can join at any time, and all are welcome.
“We are very excited about offering this new course,” Rabbi Herson said. “The Book of Deuteronomy, the ‘crescendo’ of the Five Books of Moses, delves into some of the most spiritual and practical principles of the Torah. The definition of unconditional love, positive thinking, conflict resolution, grat—itude and never judging others are just some of the topics which will be explored. When studied thoroughly — with the aid of classic talmudic and kabbalistic sources one would be hard pressed to find more pertinent and applicable material.”
The course fee is $36; scholarships are available. For information and to register, call (973) 625-1525, ext. 227, email RabbiHerson@OneTorahWay.org, or go to www.OneTorahWay.org.
