Melvin Lampl

Dr. Melvin Lampl, 82, of Ewing died March 17, 2013. Born in New York City, he had been a resident of Ewing since 1964.

Dr. Lampl was a clinical psychologist at Trenton Psychiatric Hospital, working in the children’s and forensic units and as director of psychology before retiring. He also worked at the Child Guidance Center in Trenton and at the Mt. Holly Guidance Center.

He received BA and MS degrees from City College of New York and earned his PhD from Yeshiva University.

He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sondra; his son, Kenneth (Tanya); his daughter, Jessica (John) Kalinowski; and three grandchildren.

Services were held March 20 with arrangements by Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, Ewing. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Greenwood House, 6 Colonial Lake Drive, Suite G, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648; or Cancer Research Institute, 55 Broadway, Suite 1802, New York, NY 10006.
