Robert Roth

Robert H. Roth of New Providence died April 18, 2015. Born in Newark, he lived in Elizabeth before moving to New Providence in 1969. 

Dr. Roth was a professor of psychology at Kean University, and until 2001 he maintained a private practice in clinical psychology at Madison Medical Center in Madison. He edited 22 published books of readings in psychology. 

He earned a bachelor’s degree at the Juilliard School and a master’s degree and doctorate in psychology at Columbia University. He was a Diplomate in Clinical Psychology. 

He was a member of Congregation Ohr Shalom-Summit Jewish Community Center and B’nai B’rith. 

He is survived by his wife Estelle (Goldstein); his daughter, Lisa Roth Klein (Allen Klein) of Oceanside, NY; his son, Neil Roth (Karen Milrod Roth) of Somers, NY; and four grandchildren.

Services were held April 20 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
