The Book of Genesis online

“Ride With the Tide,” a new 12-week course — offered online — on the Biblical Book of Genesis, taught by Rabbi Asher Herson, begins on October 5, at 7:15 p.m. It’s sponsored by the Chabad Educational Center in Rockaway Township. Each session is self-contained, and students can join at any time.

“The Book of Genesis, the opening book of the Five Books of Moses, makes for stirring study,” Rabbi Herson said. “This book contains the cornerstones of all spiritual thought and its heartwarming lessons establish the most pertinent principles of the Torah and of Judaism. With the aid of classic Talmudic and Kabbalistic sources, our classes will elucidate and help each student apply the timeless messages of these precious Biblical passages to circumstances and experiences of everyday life.”
