War continues in Israel

As we all know, when the war in Iran started on Saturday, February 27, many Americans and other visitors were in Israel, as well as in other Middle Eastern countries affected by the fighting. There also were many Israelis and people from other affected countries overseas when the war began.

The Americans in Israel soon learned that the State Department had not arranged any way to get them home right away, so they improvised.

Here are four stories from local people — and in one case the sister of someone local — describing how the first days of the war affected their lives.
