Highland Park Conservative Temple-Congregation Anshe Emeth will kick off its 18th annual Jewish film series on Saturday, Nov. 2, at 8 p.m. with the French film comedy “Rue Mandar.”

The screening will be followed with remarks via Skype by Daniella Doron,
a senior lecturer in Jewish History at the Australian Centre for Jewish Civilisation at Monash University and author of “Jewish Youth and Identity in Postwar France.”

The film screening (French with English subtitles) and talk are open to the public at no charge (an $8 donation is suggested).

Upcoming films in the series include “The Interpreter” (Dec. 7),
“Inside the Mossad” (Jan. 11), “The Reports on Sarah and Saleem” (Feb. 1), “Scaffolding” (Feb. 15), and “The Humorist” (March 7).
