Highland Park Conservative Temple-Congregation Anshe Emeth continues its 17th annual Jewish film series with a screening of “Commandments” on Saturday, Jan. 26, at 8 p.m. Two episodes from the series, about conflicts ultra-Orthodox Jews face regarding service in the Israel Defense Forces, will be shown, followed by remarks via Skype by Yoav Shutan-Goshen, creator and head writer of the series. “Israel-American Jewish Relations: Where Are We?” will be presented by Martin Raffel on Sunday, Jan. 27, 10-11 a.m. at Highland Park Conservative Temple-Congregation Anshe Emeth. Raffel, a columnist for New Jersey Jewish News, is former senior vice president and director of the Task Force on Israel, World Jewry & International Human Rights at the Jewish Council for Public Affairs (JCPA).
