“Life and Loss in Germany: The 80th Anniversary of Kristallnacht”

The Dedication of the Temple Emanu-El Holocaust Remembrance Center will offer the first opportunity to explore the opening exhibit, “Life and Loss in Germany: The 80th Anniversary of Kristallnacht.” At the Dedication Ceremony, we will learn the history of the Center as well as share plans for the future.

Dr. Joanna Sliwa, exhibit curator, will provide an overview of the exhibit. Dr. Sliwa is a historian of Holocaust and Polish Jewish history. She works as a historian at the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany (Claims Conference). Temple Sinai’s Shir Libeinu Choir will provide beautiful music. Our annual Kristallnacht Commemoration will culminate at the Shabbat service on Friday, November 9, 7:30 pm.
