"Iranian Jews in the Twentieth Century" Dr. Sternfeld is an assistant professor of History and Jewish Studies and Penn State University. He is a social historian specializing in the Middle East; in particular he teaches about Jewish issues. He is the author of “Jewish-Iranian Identities in the Pahlavi Era.” The program is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served and there will be time for questions and discussion.

Gary Rendsburg: “How the Bible Was Written: Reading Creation, Chayei Sarah and Jacob and Rachel” This year’s Rabbi Zelizer Scholar in Residence, Gary Rendsburg is a professor of biblical studies and ancient Judaism at Rutgers University. He has been speaking about his recent book “How the Bible Is Written” at conferences and communities around the world.
