JCC MetroWest presents sculpture and mixed media exhibits
A RECEPTION TO mark the opening of an exhibit of sculpture and mixed media by Gaelen Juried Art Show award winners Peppi Glass and Debra Livingston will be held on Sunday, Jan. 13, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at JCC MetroWest’s Gaelen Gallery East at the Cooperman JCC in West Orange. The exhibit will be on view through Feb. 24.
Glass works at Riker Hill Art Park in Livingston, where she is a member of the Riker Hill Artists group. Her award-winning work has been included in juried shows throughout the greater metropolitan area and is held in private collections in the United States and abroad.
Livingston, Best in Show winner in the 2018 Gaelen Juried Art Show & Sale, is a printmaker and book artist who is involved with the Visual Arts Center in Summit as a printmaker, teacher, docent, and mentor. She teaches drawing and painting at the JCC of Central New Jersey in Scotch Plains and art enrichment to children and conducts printmaking workshops throughout the state. Her work is exhibited in numerous galleries and museums, including the Museum of Modern Art, the National Gallery of Art, and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
Also on view, in the JCC’s Arts/Theater Lobby, are works by artist Kerin Adams, whose paintings often include 3-D effects. This show reflects her love for the work of Monet.
The Gaelen Gallery East is open during regular JCC hours: Monday-Thursday, 5:30 a.m.-10 p.m.; Friday, 5:30 a.m.-6 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Contact Lisa Suss at 973-530-3413 or lsuss@
