Max L. Kleinman and David W. Lentz each received the Shimon Peres Leadership Award at the Metropolitan NJ Israel Bonds annual tribute dinner, held Nov. 17 at Crystal Plaza in Livingston.

The awards were given by the honorees’ rabbis: Rabbi Alan Silverstein of Congregation Agudath Israel in Caldwell made the presentation to Kleinman, Rabbi E. Samuel Klibanoff of Congregation Etz Chaim in Livingston to Lentz. Ambassador Ido Aharoni, consul general of Israel in New York, delivered the keynote address.

Leslie Dannin Rosenthal and Dov Ben–Shimon, president and CEO, respectively, of Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ, announced a $2 million State of Israel Bonds investment by the Jewish Community Foundation of GMW NJ.

Lee Schwartz, executive director of Metropolitan, Northern, & Central NJ Israel Bonds, said, “This significant Israel Bonds investment by the foundation highlights the longstanding partnership between the organizations. This partnership creates important opportunities for supporters of Israel and the foundation to invest in Israel Bonds for their donor-advised funds.”
