A place in the sun
Regarding the Johanna Ginsberg story “South Orange synagogue harnessing sun power” (May 19), your readers will be interested to learn that Boys Town Jerusalem recently converted its 18-acre campus to solar energy.
A unique feature of BTJ’s conversion to solar is that we will have Jerusalem’s first solar powered menora. Since BTJ’s campus is situated on the highest point in Jerusalem, its menora will not only broadcast the miracle of Hanukka, but will also attest to the importance of a greener Jerusalem and Israel.
We invite members of the MetroWest Jewish community who might be in Israel for Hanukka to join us for the historic lighting this unique menora..
