In 1971, five women living in Greater MetroWest towns started a choral group,“Shiru Nah,” — let us sing. The late Rose Slifer preserved the group’s history in a scrapbook that is now being donated to the Jewish Historical Society for long-term preservation in the society’s archives. Yael Weinstein, who is a long-time group member, and Janet Slifer, Rose Slifer’s daughter-in-law, are in this photo. Individuals, synagogues, and volunteer organizations who have historic documents related to Jewish life in Greater MetroWest that should be preserved for future generations are encouraged to email Linda Forgosh at lforgosh@jfedgmw.org.
