Aaron Hipscher
Aaron Hipscher, 76, of North Caldwell died July 9, 2011. Born in Newark, he lived in West Orange for six years before moving to North Caldwell 39 years ago.
Mr. Hipscher worked for 30 years at Ernst & Young LLP, where he became a partner and certified public accountant. After his retirement from public accounting, he began a new career as a clinical professor of accounting at New York University’s Stern School of Business, where he worked for the last 14 years. During his time at Stern, he received numerous honors as an outstanding educator and served as an adviser for the Beta Alpha Psi Accounting Honors Society in addition to chairing other faculty and student committees.
He graduated from Weequahic High School, Newark, in 1961 and earned a BA in economics and an MBA in accounting from Rutgers University.
He is survived by his wife, Karen (Kozlow); two sons, Corey and Ryan; his daughter, Alison Regan; a sister, Elinor Koll; and two grandchildren.
Services were held July 12 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to Beta Alpha Psi Relay for Life, c/o NYU’s Stern School of Business.
