Aaron Vogler
Aaron Vogler, 89, of Parsippany died April 6, 2017. He was born and grew up in the Bronx and resided in Dover and then in Madison for 49 years before moving to Parsippany last year.
Mr. Vogler worked as a mechanical engineer at Picatinny Arsenal for over 30 years, where he won several awards for munitions design and cost savings.
He graduated from City College of New York in 1948 with a degree in chemical engineering and earned a master’s degree in chemical engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology.
He was a World War II veteran.
After retirement, he worked at the Madison YMCA and served on the Madison Volunteer Ambulance Corps for several years.
Predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Ruth B., last June, and a grandson, Daniel Vogler, he is survived by two sons, Mark (Regina) and Jon (Lauren); his daughter, Gail (Alan) Schuman; and seven grandchildren.
Services were held April 7 with arrangements by J.L. Apter Memorial Chapels of Dover.
