Abner Turk
Abner Isaac Turk, 90, of Weston, Fla., died May 3, 2016. Born in Newark, he lived in South Orange before moving to Florida in 1973.
After working at New Jersey Electric Supply, he moved to Florida and became owner of Chuck’s Backhoe Service of Pompano Beach.
He attended Princeton and Texas A&M universities and graduated from Rutgers University.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Arleen Frankenberg Turk; three sons, Richard (Dorothy), Douglas (Ceferina), and Jonathan (Pamela); his daughter, Amanda (Don); eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services were held May 5 with arrangements by Levitt-Weinstein Beth David Chapel, Hollywood, Fla.
