Adath Israel Congregation launches culture and arts program
CULTURE AND ARTS will flourish in Mercer, Bucks, and Montgomery counties, with the establishment of a new program called MOSAIC. Sponsored by Adath Israel Congregation in Lawrenceville, MOSAIC is set to engage the community with programming that focuses on the arts, culture, and ideas that animate our world through a pluralistic Jewish lens.
MOSAIC will present an annual season of music, art, politics, dance, cooking, and other topics connected to Jewish tradition. Events are open to the public.
The 2018-2019 season is an eclectic mix of inspirational and creative
programming:
Oct. 28, 2018. Sandra Sobieraj Westfall, a former White House correspondent for the Associated Press and current political writer for People Magazine, will share her experiences about her many high-profile interviews with presidents, first ladies, and headliners in the news.
Dec. 16, 2018. Nefesh Mountain Band will perform bluegrass and traditional Jewish melodies.
Feb. 9, 2019. Fred Astaire Ballroom Dancers and Trio Velez Jazz Band will perform at Cabaret Night.
In the spring, celebrity chef Nick Liberato will showcase his talents with a cooking demonstration and tasting. Liberato is executive chef of the Venice Whaler Restaurant in California and has appeared on Bravo TV’s Top Chef
Masters.
MOSAIC will host additional speakers throughout the year. For information on times, tickets, and additional programs, visit adathisraelnj.org and click on MOSAIC or call 609-896-4977.
