Adele Rosen

Adele Rosen, 91, of Newton died June 19, 2018. She was born in Newark.

Mrs. Rosen worked at WAAT-WATV, Channel 13 in Newark, as head of the television continuity department. She was also the owner of Lynn Cleaners, Inc., a family company founded in 1955 by her late husband, Nathan, and late father, Phillip, in Newton, Branchville, Sparta, and Sussex.

She attended Ohio University and graduated in 1949 with a bachelor of science degree in journalism.

She was a member of the Newton Junior Women’s Club and the Newton Board of Education and the president of the sisterhood of the Jewish Center of Sussex County. She also worked as a substitute teacher for many years.

Predeceased by her husband and a daughter-in-law, Barbara, she is survived by two sons, Jeffry and Stuart, and a grandson.
