Aida Workman
Aida Miriam Workman (Mason), 86, of Monroe Township died Feb. 15, 2018. Born in the Bronx, she moved to Seaford, N.Y., after her marriage before relocating to Massapequa, N.Y., and to Monroe in 1996 after her retirement.
She attended City College of New York where she met the love of her life, Arnold Workman.
Mrs. Workman worked briefly as a school teacher before beginning her family. Later she began a long career in New York City as a human rights specialist. She attended City College of New York.
She was an active member of Temple Sinai in Massapequa, where she was both sisterhood president and the newsletter editor. After moving to Monroe, she became very involved in the Concordia community and spent several years on the social committee.
She was a member of Concordia Jewish Center and later also became a member of Temple Rodeph Torah of Marlboro.
Predeceased by her husband, Arnold, she is survived by two sons, Andrew (Sari) and David (Sabina); her daughter, Robin (Marc) Persily; a sister, Suzanne Hochman; and seven grandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 18 with arrangements by Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, New Brunswick.
