Arnold Levine
Dr. Arnold J. Levine, 101, of Roselle died March 26, 2016.
A retired Roselle dentist, Dr. Levine ran his solo dental practice, with his wife Margie as his assistant, until his retirement at age 70.
He attended Roselle High School and New York University. He graduated from University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where he served as business manager for the Penn Dental Journal.
He joined the U.S. Army to serve as a dentist for what was supposed to be one year of duty. Following the bombing of Pearl Harbor, he ended up serving for five years, and was stationed at bases throughout the country until the war ended.
Predeceased by his wife of 75 years, Margie, six months earlier, he is survived by his daughter, Gail (Lance) Stockwell of Massachusetts; his son, Stephen (Sharon Levine) of Roselle; four grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.
Services were held March 27 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
