Author Dan Grunfeld to speak in Livingston
Dan Grunfeld, an author and former professional basketball player, will speak at Temple Beth Shalom in Livingston on Wednesday, May 3, at 5:30 and again at 7:30 p.m. He will discuss and sign copies of his book, “By the Grace of the Game,” about his family’s history, from his grandparents surviving the Holocaust and making a new life in America, to the impact of the game of basketball on his and his family’s lives.
His father, Ernie Grunfeld, a former New York Knicks star player, NBA executive, and U.S. Olympic gold medalist, is the only athlete in NBA history whose parents survived the Holocaust.
Participants can buy the book. The talk is open to the public and free, but a $10 donation would be appreciated. For information, call (973) 992-3600.
