Author talks about her new book
Rabbi Simeon Cohen of Temple Beth Shalom of Livingston and Yardena Schwartz, an award-winning journalist and author, discussed her new book, “Ghosts of a Holy War: The 1929 Massacre in Palestine That Ignited the Arab-Israeli Conflict.” The November 14 program was presented to a full house by the shul’s Heritage Center and its Israel Committee. The book starts with the 1929 massacre in Hebron. Ms. Schwartz had to remove two chapters of the book and rewrite others after the October 7 massacre in southern Israel.
