Be fruitful
With the New Year upon us and many people starting to look at where their lives are headed, I happened to come across some of my recent e-mails from organizations dedicated to memorializing Holocaust victims. I came across one that I thought was especially meaningful, as it responded specifically to the question, “What can we do,” which was asked by a member of the second or third generation. The response was “Have more babies.” I felt the response was suitable, as there is of course a legitimate concern about the dwindling Jewish population. Young people, rightfully proud of their lawful right to determine the size of their family, should consider or seriously think about having another child.
