Beatrice Beck
Beatrice Beck (Neidorf), 96, of Highland Park died Nov. 21, 2018. Born in Brooklyn and raised in Newark, for the past 65 years she had been living in Highland Park.
Mrs. Beck taught first grade in Highland Park schools for 25 years.
She graduated from Douglass College with a bachelor of arts in education.
After her retirement, she spent her time as a docent at the Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers University for 21 years. She was very involved with the Alumnae Association at Douglass, serving as secretary of her graduating class.
She was a member of a local book club, enjoyed gardening, and spent winter months in Florida.
She was a longtime member of Highland Park Conservative Temple-Congregation Anshe Emeth.
Predeceased by her husband, Aaron, and a son, William, she is survived by two sons, Richard (Teri) and Larry (Anna); four grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Services were held Nov. 23 with arrangements by Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, New Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to The Associate Alumnae of Douglass College, 181 Ryders Lane, New Brunswick, N.J. 08901.
