Benita Satty-Wiedmann
Benita Satty-Wiedmann (Dimak), 78, of Hazlet died Oct. 7, 2012. Born in Queens, she lived in Hazlet since 1966.
Mrs. Satty-Wiedmann was an elementary school teacher for the New York City public school system. Later she was a substitute elementary school teacher for both the Hazlet and Matawan boards of education. She also gave piano lessons in her home for many years.
She was a graduate of Hunter College.
She was a congregant of Temple Shalom in Aberdeen for 45 years, where she was a religious school teacher and served as a member of numerous committees. She founded the local chapter of Parents Without Partners in 1971.
Predeceased by her husbands, Jerod Satty and Helmut Wiedmann, she is survived by two daughters, Pam Brandsdorfer and Robin Satty; and four grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 9 with arrangements by Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to Temple Shalom, 5 Ayrmont Lane, Aberdeen, NJ 07730.
