Bernard Reiter
Bernard Reiter, 88, of Verona died March 22, 2016. Born in Hoboken, he grew up in West Orange and more recently had lived in Roseland.
Mr. Reiter was the vice president of finance for Equitable Bag Co. of Queens, where he worked for over 30 years.
He graduated from West Orange High School, and studied violin and piano at Juilliard School in New York City for over three years before majoring in accounting at Upsala College.
He served in the U.S. Army toward the end of World War II.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Thelma (Kline); two daughters, Sharon Reiter (Jeffrey) Lindberg and Marcy (Mark) Huey; two sisters, Freda Dretel and Annette Friend; and four grandchildren.
Services were held March 24 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to The Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America, Inc., 355 Lexington Ave., 15th floor, New York, NY 10017.
