Bernice Segan, 82, of Elberon died Sept. 28, 2013. She was born in New York and grew up in Brooklyn before moving to the shore area, living in Elberon for 55 years.
Mrs. Segan was a secretary at Fort Monmouth in Eatontown for 30 years.
Predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Robert, in January and a daughter, Helene Maskell, she is survived by her son, Jeffrey of Manalapan; two daughters, Marlene Clauer of Linden and Lori Pribula of Toms River; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 2 with arrangements by Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Ocean.
