BERNSTEIN-MURPHY
Julie and Hal Bernstein of Springfield announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Rose, to Eric Michael Murphy, son of Judy and Bob Murphy of Cranford.
Ms. Bernstein, a graduate of Union County Magnet High School in Scotch Plains, earned her BA in psychology summa cum laude from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pa., and her MS in statistics measurement assessment and research technology from University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. She is a research analyst at Mathematica Policy Research, Princeton.
Mr. Murphy, also a graduate of Union County Magnet High School, earned his BS in aerospace engineering and his MS in mechanical engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester, Mass. He is a research engineer at BASF in Union.
A June 2013 wedding is planned.
