Berta Adickman
Berta Adickman, 89, of Springfield died Dec. 2, 2010. Born in Newark, she lived in Union before moving to Springfield in 1958.
Mrs. Adickman was a bookkeeper for Modern Upholstering Company in Newark, and then worked with her husband at Modern Foam Furniture in Union until their retirement in 1984.
Predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Harold, she is survived by her daughter, Paula Sabreen of Westfield; two sons, Michael of Phoenix, Ariz., and Charles of Montclair; two sisters, Pearl Berkeley of West Orange and Rose Grant of Whiting; a brother, Milton Mitnick; and five grandchildren.
Services were held Dec. 5 with arrangements by Memorial Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to FAMILYConnections, Orange.
