Bertha Jackson
Bertha H. Jackson (Heffers), 93, of Roselle died Sept. 29, 2012. She was born in New York City and lived and worked in Roselle.
Mrs. Jackson served as a crossing guard in her community, walking three generations of elementary school children for the Roselle Police Department for over 30 years.
Predeceased by her husbands, Joseph Heffers and Irving Jackson, she is survived by her son, Gary Heffers of West Orange.
Services were held Oct. 3 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston.
