Bertha Sossin
Bertha (Bert) Sossin, 101, of South Orange died Oct. 11, 2010. Born in Newark, she had lived in Millburn for 51 years before moving to Florham Park at age 90.
Mrs. Sossin was a junior executive manager of the Correspondence and Filing departments at Bamberger’s, Newark (now Macy’s) for over 15 years. She later worked for many years managing a family business until age 90.
Predeceased by her husband, Max, in 1972, and a stepdaughter, Ellie Brichke, she is survived by a son, Arthur of South Orange; two stepdaughters, Seena Gelfand and Adrienne Kurman; and two grandsons. Services were held Oct. 13 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
