Cantor sings at cancer fundraiser

Cantor Bruce Ruben of Temple Beth Am in Morris Plains sang “God Bless America” at the opening ceremony for the Relay for Life of Greater Montville Township on June 7. As in the past, TBA sent a team, the “Shul Rules.”

The annual event, chaired by Ellen Brody Decker, was held on the Montville High School football field. From 4 to 10 p.m., cancer survivors and caregivers, with friends and family, walked the track in honor of their loved ones. The event raised funds for cancer research. As in the past, this year’s Relay exceeded its fundraising goal.
