The Chabad Center of Northwest NJ celebrated the start of its 35th year at its Founders Dinner at the Crystal Plaza in Livingston earlier this month. The guests of honor were William S. Barrett, Esq., CEO of Mandelbaum Barrett PC, who was given the Pillar of Kindness; Todd Sawyer, CEO of Cosa Companies, who was the Ambassador of Light honoree; and Scott Weisberger, who was honored with the Community Service award.

“The theme of the dinner was ‘Celebrating Our 35th Year of Igniting Souls,’” Rabbi Asher Herson, the center’s regional director, said. “From a small nucleus of pioneers who engineered community activities around a living room table, we have grown into a full scale community foundation with seven regional centers geared to serving communities throughout Morris County, and in Sussex County as well. The successes we have been blessed with are a direct result of the selfless efforts of outstanding individuals who have made the expansion of our educational and charitable activities an absolute priority in their lives. Our distinguished honorees embody leadership in this vein to the utmost. This is what made the dinner event so inspiring and refreshing — its authenticity.”.
